A UK-trained, Canadian-certified Family Physician practising in Brampton, Ontario. Considered, evidence-informed medicine for adults, children and families.
I'm Dr Pid'ange Tampa-Sahum, a UK-trained Family Physician now practising Family Medicine in Ontario. Before medicine I trained in engineering — a discipline that continues to shape the way I approach clinical problems.
Family Medicine gives us the opportunity to look at the whole picture: symptoms, medical history, family history, lifestyle, mental wellbeing, medications, risk factors and priorities. My aim, whether you're visiting for a new problem or the long-term management of a familiar one, is clear, evidence-informed, practical medical guidance.
The first point of contact for new symptoms, routine care, and everyday medical questions.
Detecting risk before disease develops — one of the most valuable things primary care can do.
Long-term management of conditions that need consistent, joined-up care over years.
Assessment and management of common presentations, with clarity about when specialist help is needed.
Preventative and reproductive care across every life stage, from contraception to menopause.
A structured approach to the areas of health men are most likely to defer.
Backed by postgraduate training in Clinical Dermatology (PGDipClinDerm).
Family-centred healthcare for common childhood presentations and healthy development.
A note on availability. Service availability depends on individual clinical assessment and the arrangements of the clinic in which care is provided. Investigations, prescriptions and referrals are issued where clinically indicated and are not automatic after a consultation.
See each service in detail →Understanding your symptoms, your medical history and the possible diagnoses that fit them.
Looking beyond the immediate complaint to the medical, psychological, lifestyle and environmental factors that shape it.
Warning signs, appropriate investigations, treatment options and when further medical assessment is needed.
Healthcare should not stop when a consultation ends. The Dr Tampa Health Library — videos, short articles and the 3W's podcast — provides accessible, evidence-informed material to help patients and families understand common health questions.
